Natural Purity keeps Sequatchie County authentically unique

In the central division of Tennessee lies the beautiful Sequatchie county, a country of rolling, flat hills cradled in the Cumberland Plateau signified by its folding rock face rising 1000 feet above the underlying valley.  The Sequatchie River carves through the county, eroding and shaping the sandstone plateau, and its tributaries water the valley ensuring foliage fertility.  In the spring the valley blooms with emerald beauty speckled pink and white with blossoms. The autumn transforms the valley into a kaleidoscope of reds, oranges and yellows from the changing leaves of the deciduous oak, maple and poplar trees.  Year-round the valley boasts of life and natural beauty unlike anywhere in the world.

Sequatchie County Locals protect the valley’s genuine lifestyle

White settlers were indeed drawn to the area by its unequivocal beauty and fertility, and mining of such valuable minerals found in the valley promised economic gain. For generations the community sustained itself from profitable coal mining, whose abandoned endeavors mar the valley walls.  Locals guard their hidden treasure of beauty nestled in the quiet life of Sequatchie County lest anyone undermine this rare natural cache.
